The Bayou Barracuda Swim Team is
participating in a
new winter league, Future Stars Circuit
presented by Swim Louisiana.
Swim Louisiana is planning a Dual Meet
Circuit Season that will run September through
December. The season is comprised of a
dual meet circuit that starts in September and
culminates with a championship meet in early
December.
Bayou Barracuda Swim Team is preparing a
special packet of information about this NEW
winter league including fees, and calendar of
meets. Please check back with us by August 14th,
2006 and the information will be available

The Future Stars Circuit is the perfect
opportunity for summer league swimmers to
continue swimming throughout the winter season.
It is also a great opportunity for younger year
round swimmers to compete in meets while many of
the older swimmers are involved in the rigors of
high school swimming. Other features
include:
| Shorter
Meets - The meets are completed in a
single session. This will reduce the
cost to families compared to the all weekend
meets. Each "Circuit Weekend" gives
the competing teams flexibility to pick
either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday day of
competition. |

| Increased
Interest to Swimmers - Summer league
draws kids in because of the number of meets
within a short time frame coupled with a
season-ending championship. Because
the meets are short and quick, swimmers are
more into the meet and the team concept.
The Future Stars Circuit is designed to
replicate that energy. |

| Meets -
Swimmers will have a total of six meets in
the winter league. Swimmers must have
competed in at least 3 meets to be eligible
for the championship. |

| USA Swimming
Membership - All swimmers must be
registered with USA Swimming - $53.00, a
year. Swimmers
who are currently registered with USA
Swimming are eligible to swim in this winter
league. |

Sulphur - warm up starts at 12:00
p.m. (noon) and swim meet starts at 1:00
p.m. - Age groups: 8 & under; 9-10;
11-12; and 15 & under |
