SWIM-A-THON
... May of 2008 - Annual Event |

are needed to plan the event. Please

Event Description
- Swim-a-thon is described by USA Swimming as s
fundraiser in which participants earn money for
their team by swimming length of the pool.
Swimmers have a two-hour period to swim a
maximum of 200 length. Participants get
pledges from businesses, family, neighbors, etc.
prior to swimming. Some choose to get
pledges and money prior to swimming while others
get pledges per length and collect the money
following the Swim-a-thon. We hope to
raise about $300-500 per swimmer with this
event.
Other details:
We plan to make this into a Cinco de Mayo family
and friends day, too. A lunch and
concessions will be available. The event
will start about 9:00 a.m. leaving time for fun
with family during the day. Please
support our team with your help. |

Ink Cartridge Recycling Program - Ed
Boudreaux is organizing an ink cartridge
recycling program for the team. Please
bring your old used ink cartridges to the pool
office and placed them in the box mark ink
recycling. Each cartridge will bring in
about $2-3 per item for the team. Every
little bit adds up. Also, please ask
your business or office to save their cartridges
for the swim team and bring them into the pool.
